Dr. Brian Midgette embarked on his career in dentistry 36 years ago, leading him to open Midgette Family Dentistry and developing it into a practice of dental excellence. He has recently relocated to Richmond to be closer to his family and practice dentistry. Although he is no longer at Midgette Family Dentistry every day his legacy of high-quality dental care is instilled in the team he grew over the past 20 years. He believes their high standards of care will uphold and expand upon the foundation he built over the past decades. Dr. Midgette is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, and a graduate of Western Branch High School. He attended Old Dominion University, graduating with honors in 1984 with a B.S. in Biology. He knew early on his desire to work in the field of dentistry, working during high school and college in a local orthodontic laboratory. His hard work and experience paved the way for an early entry into the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors. He continues to devotes himself to furthering his skills by seeking countless hours of advanced continuing education courses. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, and he participates in several local dental study clubs. He is committed to providing high-quality compassionate care to all. Dr. Midgette was married in 1986 to Lisa, a dental hygienist from Richmond whom he met in dental school. Together, they have raised two exceptional daughters.
